UPVC Windows, Doors and Assemblies

In the late 1970's plastic extrusion technology allowed for the credible introduction of UPVC into the fenestration market. Since this time, Leicester Glass has supplied and supplied & installed UPVC windows, doors and conservatories.

Today we manufacture our own window and doors at Season Master, a company our family acquired in 1999. UPVC remains the preferred choice for many clients because it is a cost effective means of adding modern insulation to window and doors whilst remaining virtually maintenance free.

We manufacture using Shield extrusions, a 70mm section with 3mm wall profiles, from Synseal. When glazed with air filled double glazed units, incorporating one pane Pilkington K, the Shield Window System has achieved a u-value of 1.8. This is better than the minimum required under Document L of the building regulations in England. It is also equal to the tougher regulation required in Scotland which, it is rumoured, is due to be implemented in England & Wales on 1st April 2005.

We offer frames on a supply only basis, with or without double glazed units. Clients who prefer the complete 'supply and fix' service are offered a free, no obligation survey and quotation.
